Unthinkable what happens if you put milk in the Mocha: maybe you don’t expect it

Some people prefer to add milk to the Moka when the coffee has already risen and the heat under the machine is off. In practice, they open the lid and pour the milk inside. Our suggestion, however, is different.

In fact, it consists of putting milk in the base, instead of water. Be careful  though. You have to take precautions. Milk, in fact, unlike water, can reach high temperatures in  shorter times . The risk of burns, therefore, is just around the corner.

Furthermore, as the coffee rises through the filter and the coffee,  the foam  that would be produced could be too much and alter the flavor of the drink. In addition, milk, unlike water, could make the utensil much dirtier and take much longer to clean after use. In short, if you want to add milk instead of water, you must be very careful when the Moka pot is on the heat.

If you don’t have time to keep an eye on the coffee maker and you simply want to leave the Moka on the heat and do other things in the meantime, it is better to add the milk later, as we have explained before. If you added sugar in addition to the milk, in a separate container, you could create at home the typical foam that they make at the bar. In short, milk in the Moka pot could turn your breakfast around.
