PILLSBURY’S CRESCENT ROLL TACO BAKE

  1. Preheat Oven: Begin by preheating your oven as directed on the crescent roll package, usually around 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef. Once cooked, drain the excess fat.
  3. Add Taco Seasoning: Mix in the taco seasoning with the beef and cook according to the packet’s instructions, typically adding water and simmering until thickened.
  4. Prepare the Crescent Roll Base: Unroll one tube of crescent rolls and place them in the bottom of an ungreased 9×13 inch baking dish. Press the seams together to form a crust.
  5. Layer: Spread the cooked taco meat over the crescent roll crust. Spread the sour cream on top of the beef. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  6. Crescent Roll Top Layer: Unroll the second tube of crescent rolls and place them on top of the cheese layer, again pressing seams together.
  7. Bake: Place the baking dish in the oven and bake according to the crescent roll package’s instructions, usually for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent roll crust is golden brown.
  8. Serve: Once baked, remove from oven and let it sit for a couple of minutes. If you have optional toppings, sprinkle them on top. Slice into squares and serve warm.

This dish is versatile. You can modify it by adding refried beans, diced green chilies, or even slices of jalapeno for some heat. Enjoy your meal!
