Have you ever thought about sewing orange peels with a needle and thread? Surely not, but many cooks do it to prepare a delicious recipe. Here are the ingredients:
- Peel of 2 oranges
- Water
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- Juice of 3 oranges
- 1 cup of sugar

First cut the orange peel into sticks and twist them. Now sew them with a needle and cotton thread. We advise you to first disinfect the needle with fire.
Now put the cooked peels in a pot with water and a tablespoon of baking soda and bring them to a boil. Boil for about 10 minutes, then drain the peels and rinse with cold water. This procedure serves to remove the bitterness from the peels.
Meanwhile, cut the oranges into slices and puree them. She strains the juice and reserves the pulp. Mix the liquid from the peels and the orange juice in a cup. Now put the candied peels in a saucepan with the orange pulp, sugar, rosemary and bay leaf. Continue cooking over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the jam has thickened.
Let the jam cool and store it in sterilized jars. Your orange marmalade with candied orange peel is ready and you can enjoy it.
