Before discovering the ingredient to eliminate limescale , which we eat daily, others must be taken into account:

  • White wine vinegar and lemon , two acid-rich ingredients that can dissolve limescale from all types of sinks, whether steel or ceramic. How to do it? Apply the mixture and leave it to act overnight, in the morning rub with an old toothbrush to remove traces of scale..;
  • Sodium bicarbonate , whose granularity makes it ideal for scrubbing even the most delicate surfaces. Use this natural remedy to disinfect and perfume the surface by dissolving a tablespoon in warm water. Leave it on for a few minutes and then scrub with a brush, rinse and dry with a microfiber cloth;
  • Old socks should never be thrown away, but used to clean and remove limescale. After cleaning the entire surface, the steel is shiny and like new thanks to the old nylon stockings. Scrub the surface well and remove any residue, without fear of scratching the steel.

Other solutions you can try:

  • To remove the limescale that accumulates on the removable parts of the sink – such as the filter, for example – just soak them in vinegar and lemon overnight.
  • If the sink is marble or enameled, it is better to use vinegar because it is mild.
  • If the sink is made of copper  or brass, do not use acidic substances, but opt ​​for specific detergents for the mentioned materials.

Pomodoro to eliminate calcare

We are talking about tomato , along with lemon and salt. To obtain this excellent mixture, simply chop the tomato and salt by rubbing them in the sink for a few minutes. Immediately afterwards rinse with cold water and dry well. If the sink is ceramic, the salt will be great to create a mixture together with the baking soda  to apply to the surface, so that the limescale is easily removed.
