Homemade Philly Cheesesteak Sliders

Now that we have our ingredients ready, let’s dive into the cooking process.

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add in the thinly sliced onions and green peppers. Cook them, stirring occasionally, until they have softened.
  3. Next, add the fresh shaved steak to the pan. Add Worcestershire sauce, ground garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste. Cook the steak, using two forks to break it apart and prevent clumping. Continue cooking until the steak is no longer red. Set the pan aside.
  4. Take your sweet bread buns and slice them in half horizontally, ensuring that the 12-pack of buns stays intact. Place them onto a baking sheet.
  5. Spread the cooked steak mixture evenly over the bottom half of the buns. Top the steak with slices of provolone cheese and cover with the top half of the buns.
  6. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, dried thyme, and Worcestershire sauce. Generously brush this mixture over the top of the buns.
  7. Place the sliders in the preheated oven and bake for 17-20 minutes or until the top of the buns turns golden brown, and the cheese has melted.
  8. Serve your Philly Cheesesteak Sliders hot and enjoy!
