FRIED POTATOES AND ONIONS

Step 1

Prepare the potatoes by washing and chopping them into cubes about half an inch (peeling is optional)
Peel the onion, then slice it very thinly.

Step 2

After heating the oil in a large skillet over medium heat, gently toss in the potatoes, then cover the pan with a lid and keep the heat at medium. (Note: if you don’t have a lid, you may use foil).

Step 3

Fry the potatoes for ten minutes, stirring them a few times throughout that time. Take off the cover and mix in the onions as well as the spices.

Step 4

Continue to fry, uncovered, tossing the mixture regularly, for 10–15 minutes more, or until the potatoes are completely cooked through and beginning to become crispy.

Step 5

If it’s required, turn down the heat or add a few drops of water to prevent it from burning. Enjoy your meal
